Simi Valley High School Coach Arrested After Inappropriate Relationship with Student
On December 13, 2019, a Simi Valley Police Department School Resource Officer responded to a Child Abuse Investigation related to a Simi Valley High School student. Based on the preliminary investigation, the School Resource Officer completed a crime report and forwarded the case to the Simi Valley Police Department Detectives Bureau.
The case was assigned to the Detective Bureau Major Crimes Unit and they immediately started their investigation. On Monday, December 16, 2019, Simi Valley Police Detectives arrested 32-year-old, Simi Valley resident, Bijan Nickroo II for the following charges:
• Penal Code 288.4(b)- Computer Facilitated Luring and Solicitation of a Child
(1-Count)
• Penal Code 287a(b)(2)-Oral Copulation of a Person Under 16-years-old
(1-Count)
Nickroo was employed by the Simi Valley Unified School District at Simi Valley High School as an Assistant Football Coach, Lacrosse Coach, and Yard Supervisor between June 2012 and “December 13, 2019.” During the investigation, Detectives determined that Nickroo engaged in sexual acts with a fourteen-year-old male student. Nickroo is currently in custody at the Ventura County Pre-Trial Facility and being held on a $500,000 dollar bail.
The investigation into Nickroo’s activities during his employment by the Simi Valley Unified School District continues. He is suspected of being in regular contact with a large number of students on social media. Detectives have determined that Nickroo set up a fake profile that he used to successfully solicit pornographic “selfies” from students, many of which we are still attempting to identify. These minors likely attend a variety of schools in the local area, but appear to be primarily from Simi Valley High School.
This investigation is ongoing and anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact Detective Casey Nicholson at: (805) 583-6961.
