December 6

Vandalism – 500 block of Ashbury Ave:
At 10:04 am, an officer reports an unknown suspect broke a window to the victim’s vehicle with an unknown object, no loss was reported.

Grand Theft – 2900 block of Santa Clara Ave:
At 4:30 pm, an officer reports and unknown suspect removed the catalytic converter from the victim’s vehicle sometime during the night.

Grand Theft – 6500 block of Central Ave:
At 4:38 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect removed the catalytic converter from the victim’s vehicle several days earlier.

Theft – 1300 block of Navellier St:
At 5:31 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect removed the catalytic converter from the victim’s vehicle during the past several days.

December 7

Domestic Violence – 2200 block of Key Blvd:
At 7:09 am, an officer reports the arrest of a 38-year-old man after he assaulted his girlfriend. The man was arrested and later transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Battery – Fairmount Ave / Kearney St:
At 10:21 am, an officer reports the private person arrest of a 20-year-old man after the he punched a motorist following an argument over a minor collision. The man was issued a citation and released at the scene.

Auto Burglary – 10500 block of San Pablo Ave:
At 1:53 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect broke a window to the victim’s vehicle and removed a gym bag containing miscellaneous gym equipment.

Tampering with a Vehicle – 8000 El Cerrito Plaza:
At 7:16 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect a broke window to the victim’s vehicle but did not steal anything.

December 8

DUI – San Pablo Ave/ Stockton Ave:
At 2:42 am, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle and arrested the driver for DUI. The 28-year old male from Oakland was also found to be driving on a suspended license from a prior DUI offense. The man was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

December 9th

Attempted Vehicle Theft - 6009 Potrero Ave:
At 6:44 am, an officer responded to the report of an attempted vehicle theft. An unidentified suspect forced the door and then stripped the ignition housing in a failed attempt to take a Ford truck.

Robbery and Shoplifting – El Cerrito Plaza:
At 7:58 pm, an officer reports the arrest of a 37-year-old female from Richmond. The female entered several businesses, concealed merchandise, and left without paying. During one of the thefts, an employee stopped the suspect but was assaulted. The suspect was located nearby and subsequently arrested.

Trespassing Starbucks - 11861 San Pablo Ave:
At 11:43 am, an officer responded to Starbucks on the report of an unwanted person. A 23-year-old transient male was reportedly consuming controlled substances on the front patio and refused to leave when asked by employees. He left when the officer arrived but returned shortly after that and subsequently refused to leave. He was placed under citizen’s arrest, booked, and released with a citation.

December 10th

December 11th

Warrant Arrest – San Pablo Ave and Fairmount Ave:
At 8:38 pm, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and subsequently arrested a 42-year-old male for an outstanding warrant. The male was taken into custody and transported to the county jail.

Domestic Violence – 10900 San Pablo Ave:
At 9:54 pm, an officer reports the arrest of a 25-year-old male from Oakland after he pushed his child’s mother during a custody exchange. The male was taken into custody, booked, and then taken to the county jail.

Hit and Run, DUI – San Pablo Ave and Carlson Blvd:
At 11:18 pm, officers responded to a solo vehicle collision. Officers located a vehicle on the center median with significant damage. A witness saw two males running from the vehicle, one who appeared to be intoxicated. While on scene, the passenger of the vehicle returned and informed officers, his friend who was driving was at his apartment. Officers contacted the driver, but he refused to come to the door. The driver was identified, and a report was taken.

Auto Burglary – Trader Joe’s:
At 3:53 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect shattered the rear driver side window to the victim’s vehicle and removed a gym bag containing clothing and earbuds. The time of occurrence was 3:00 to 3:30 pm.

December 12th:

Warrant Arrest - 11382 San Pablo Ave (Atlas Liquors)
At 3:37 pm, an officer was dispatched to the report of a disturbance at Atlas Liquors. One of the parties, a sixty-three-year-old male, was wanted on a warrant. He was arrested, booked, and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Residential Burglary – 6800 block of Portola Dr:
At 6:25 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect entered the victim’s home via a front bedroom window. Once inside, the suspect removed electronics and cash.

DUI – San Pablo Ave and Stockton Ave:
At 12:13 am, an officer conducted a traffic stop and subsequently arrested the driver, a 25-year-old male from Richmond, for DUI. The driver was booked then released with a citation.
