USE OF FIREWORKS
It is that time of year again for celebrating with fireworks. Before using fireworks you should know how to use them safely. In order to protect your loved ones and our community, please do not discharge fireworks: (2) In or near the City landfill, or any other landfill or dump site. (3) In or near dry grass. (4) At or towards any person or animal. (5) In or near any area designated as a fur seal rookery (CCO 6.05.010(b), Fur Seal Act, Marine Mammal Protection Act, U.S. 50 CFR Section 216). (6) In or near any area designated as bird cliffs (U.S. Fish and Wildlife Regulations 50 CFR). (7) When under the influence of any intoxicants, including alcohol, controlled substances, or medication causing impairment. (8) In winds of more than 25 miles an hour. (9) When such discharge has the possibility of disturbing marine mammals and nesting birds. (10) If you are under the age of 18 except under the active supervision of an unimpaired adult. (11) Specifically, salable aerial fireworks in or around residential areas. Salable aerial fireworks may be used in open areas such as the ball field, other nongrassy open areas, or nongrassy open areas over water. (12) During the hours of 2:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
(1) At, into, in, through or against any building or vehicle.
