Justin Scott of Redlands was arrested for residential burglary

INCIDENT: Residential Burglary
LOCATIONS: 12500 block of 7th Street, Yucaipa
SUSPECT: Justin Scott, age 19 a resident of Redlands
VICTIM: Male, resident of Yucaipa
SUMMARY: Deputies responded to a report of an unknown male subject who was burglarizing a residence. The suspect stole property belonging to the victim and fled in a vehicle. An observant witness was able to provide a vehicle description and a few letters of a partial license plate. Through investigation, Justin Scott was identified as the suspect in the crime.
On Friday, December 20, 2019 at about 7:53 am, Scott was contacted during a traffic stop in the south Redlands area and was taken into custody without incident. A search warrant was served at his Redlands home and property taken from the victim’s residence was recovered.
Scott was booked at the Central Detention Center for residential burglary.
