Today, Sunday December 22, 2019, LASD personnel, and other law enforcement agencies teamed up with Viking Charities, in Santa Monica. Assembled in the Barker Hanger, volunteers came from near and far to help pack boxes of food for needy families in our communities.
For over 37 years, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has collaborated with Viking Charities to package and distribute these meals across Los Angeles County. Each basket contains a turkey and all the fixings for a holiday dinner. This event gives us an opportunity to give back to families in our communities.
Viking Charities is a charity for disadvantaged children in Los Angeles County. Throughout the year, the Vikings Charities Organization and Stations within the Sheriff’s Department identify families that are suffering hardships and in need during the holidays.
