ALERT SOUTH BAY is replacing NIXLE for mass public notifications - Signup to receive alerts - see below:
The City of Redondo Beach and 12 other South Bay cities have established an alert and warning notification system as part of an integrated, interoperable regional platform. The Alert SouthBay (via Everbridge), is an emergency notification system aimed to keep communities informed about disasters, major emergencies and other urgent information, via SMS (text), email, phone, landline, as well as other means of communication.
The notification system gives the City of Redondo Beach Police, Fire, and Emergency Management the ability to deliver critical notifications to our community. The Alert SouthBay notification system replaces all existing notification systems including NIXLE.
Participating cities:
Inglewood, El Segundo, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, Palos Verdes Estates, Rancho Palos Verdes, Rolling Hills Estates, Rolling Hills, Torrance, Gardena, Hawthorne, Lomita
Residents MUST register in the Alert SouthBay regional portal if they wish to receive alerts.
