UPDATE ON GARBAGE PICKUP FOR LAMBERT STREET FOLLOWING FRIDAY'S FIRE
Blue Diamond had been in contact with the Borough on Friday, December 27th regarding the fire scene on Lambert Street and the inability of garbage trucks to access the area. The fire scene was cleared by late Friday afternoon, but by that time pickup was not possible as the Annandale Transfer Station closes at 3:00 p.m. Lambert Street has been accessible all weekend and remains so today. A call was placed by the Borough to a Blue Diamond Supervisor at 9:23 a.m. this morning and a voicemail was left requesting pickup of Lambert Street. Upon receiving a phone call from a Lambert Street resident who had spoken with Blue Diamond stating that blue Diamond alleged the Borough had never contacted them regarding Lambert Street, a second call was placed to a Supervisor at 1:40 p.m. and again a voicemail was left. The Borough then contacted Blue Diamond's main customer service number and again requested pickup of Lambert Street and was promised a return call stating when the pickup would occur. As of this writing, no call from Blue Diamond has been received. We will be following up first thing tomorrow morning.
