The Redondo Beach PD/FD Communications Center has received many inquries about the natural gas odor in North Redondo Beach.  The Fire Department is aware and continues to monitor the situation.  The source of the odor is unconfirmed at this time.  

Fire officials do not believe the odor is dangerous.  However, residents may opt to keep their doors and windows closed for the next few hours.  Also, residents may opt to turn on any central air conditioning or filtration units, should they have that option.  In the unlikely event of a related illness, please dial 9-1-1.
