Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a man. The shooting occurred on Monday, January 6, 2020 at approximately 1:19 a.m. on the 900 block South Duncan Avenue, East Los Angeles.
Detectives have learned that East Los Angeles Station deputies responded to the location regarding an assault with a deadly weapon just occurred call. Upon their arrival, they located a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim, a male Hispanic in his 30’s, was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
There is no suspect information at this time. The incident appears to be gang related.
LASD Homicide detectives are looking for additional witnesses.
The investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information available at this time.
