Press Release: Suspects Arrested for Attempted Auto Burglary and Drugs

On January 6, 2020, at approximately 00:24 A.M., Milpitas Police officers responded to the 70-Block Mihalakis Street on the report of two suspects attempting to break into a work van. Officers arrived on scene in less than two minutes and saw the suspect vehicle, a 2011 Silver Chevy Malibu, leaving the area.
Officers stopped the Chevy and detained the driver, Jose Orozco, and the passenger, Guillermo Camacho. Further investigation determined that Orozco and Camacho had used tools to attempt to gain access into the work van. A narcotic smoking pipe and multiple burglary tools were found in the Chevy. Officers searched Orozco and located suspected heroin. Orozco was arrested for attempted auto burglary, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of burglary tools, and conspiracy. Orozco in on probation for grand theft out of Alameda County. Camacho was arrested for attempted auto burglary, possession of burglary tools, and conspiracy. Orozco and Camacho were booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail.
