Deputies are investigating a fatal vehicle vs. pedestrian traffic collision

INCIDENT: Fatal Traffic Collision
LOCATION: Baseline St. / Golondrina Dr., Highland
VICTIM: Victor Manuel Matos Can, 62 years old, resident of Highland
SUMMARY:
On Sunday, January 5, 2020 at 5:44 p.m. deputies from the Highland Police Department were dispatched to the area of Baseline St. and Golondrina Dr. to a report of a vehicle versus a pedestrian traffic collision. Emergency personnel arrived and located Victor Manuel Matos Can in the roadway unresponsive. Medical personnel conducted life saving measures on scene and Matos Can was transported to a local hospital. Matos Can was later pronounced deceased.
