Juan Aurelio Leon of Crestline was arrested for rape and lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 16 years of age

LOCATION: 500 Block of Woodsey Drive, Crestline
SUSPECT(S): Juan Aurelio Leon, 41-year-old male; resident of Crestline
VICTIM(S): Female victim under the age of 16
SUMMARY: On January 7, 2019, detectives from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department Twin Peaks Station concluded an investigation related to a report of forcible rape against a female under the age of 16. The suspect was positively identified as Juan Aurelio Leon. During the course of the investigation, a warrant for Leon's arrest was issued by the San Bernardino County Superior Court.
Leon was located by detectives in the City of San Bernardino where he intended to re-contact with the victim. He was arrested, transported and booked into the Central Detention Center pending charges of PC 261(a)(2) - Rape; and PC 288(c)(1) - Lewd and Lascivious Act with a child victim under 16, in lieu of $350,000.00 bail.
