Jackson Police are pleased to announce Sergeant Brien Turner as January’s “Employee of the Month.” Sgt.Turner is assigned to the Law Enforcement Technology Department. He has been employed with the Jackson Police Department for almost 22 years.
Sgt. Turner works countless hours on and off the clock in furtherance on the Jackson Police mission. He is always accessible and more than willing to assist others with technical issues. This is a detailed job, which often requires critical thinking skills. He always has great solutions to keep our computers and other technology operational.
Sgt.Turner answer, his phone at all hours and if he is not hunting or otherwise “out of pocket” can remedy most technical issues within minutes. Police technology is an ever evolving field of endeavor which requires him to keep abreast of the newest technology. He does an outstanding job of transitioning this knowledge into solutions in the field.
He is calm and methodical, which allows him to meet challenges head on. Sgt.Turner work ethic and knowledge are such an asset to our organization, which is why he is deserving of this recommendation.
As “Employee of the Month”, Sgt.Turner received a plaque acknowledging his selection, a gift certificate to a local restaurant, and a designated parking space for the month as well as a day of with pay.
