On January 8, 2020, at approximately 11:55 A.M., Milpitas Police officers responded to Walgreens, 1833 N. Milpitas Boulevard, on the report of three male suspects stealing property from the store. An officer arrived on scene within one (1) minute of the call for service and saw the suspects fleeing in a gold Lexus 4-door. The officer did not chase the vehicle. A few minutes later, the Lexus crashed into another vehicle on N. Abel Street at Redwood Avenue. The suspects ran from the vehicle and into a nearby neighborhood.
