INCIDENT: Fatal Vehicle Collision

LOCATION: Calimesa Blvd and Oak Glenn Rd - Yucaipa

SUSPECT(S): Andrew Patrick Glover, 25-year-old white male

VICTIM(S): 22-year-old Hispanic female, name withheld pending next of kin notification


SUMMARY: On January 8, 2020, at approximately 8:09 pm, Yucaipa Deputies responded to a single-vehicle traffic collision in the area of Oak Glenn RD and Calimesa Blvd. Upon arrival, deputies located a female pinned under the front passenger side of the vehicle and a male outside the driver's side of the vehicle. The female was unresponsive and was pronounced deceased on scene. The male driver was later identified as Andrew Patrick Glover of Carlsbad, CA.

Members of the Sheriff’s Departments Major Accident Investigation Team responded and assumed responsibility for the investigation. Preliminary investigation indicates the vehicle driven by Glover, a red 2004 Ford Explorer Sport Track was traveling westbound on Calimesa Blvd. at a very high rate of speed and failed to negotiate a turn. The vehicle left the roadway and rolled several times partially ejecting the female passenger. Glover was transported to the Loma Linda University Medical Center and is being treated for his injuries.
