...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 3 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 6 AM CST SATURDAY...
* WHAT...Moderate snow. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 6 inches
and ice accumulations of a light glaze. Isolated amounts up to 8
inches possible south and east of Des Moines. Winds gusting as
high as 35 mph later today.
* WHERE...Central Iowa including Osceola
* WHEN...From 3 PM this afternoon to 6 AM CST Saturday. Snow
mainly in two episodes, from mid afternoon into this evening,
and again Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing
snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous
conditions could impact the evening commute.
