Flood Warning
NWS has issued a Flood Warning for Urban Areas and Small Streams in Washington County until 10:45 PM CST Friday.
At 450 PM CST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
that heavy rain was falling over the area. The heavy rain will
cause flooding. Up to three inches of rain have already fallen.

St. Louis, Belleville, Granite City, O`Fallon, Alton, East St.
Louis, Collinsville, Edwardsville, Godfrey, Fairview Heights,
Cahokia, Swansea, Glen Carbon, Shiloh, Wood River, Highland, Troy, Columbia, Bethalto and Maryville.
Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are possible in the
warned area.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 70 in Illinois between exits 21 and 52.
Interstate 55 in Illinois between exits 23 and 37.
Interstate 64 in Illinois between exits 9 and 61.
This also includes Carlyle Lake Recreational Area and Horseshoe Lake State Park.
Instructions:
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
