Western Newton County in southwestern Missouri... Western Cedar County in southwestern Missouri... Vernon County in west central Missouri... Western St. Clair County in west central Missouri... Jasper County in southwestern Missouri... Northwestern Dade County in southwestern Missouri...
* Until 700 AM CST Saturday.
* At 654 PM CST, Doppler Radar Estimates indicate that up to three inches of rain have already fallen over southeast Kansas and extreme western Missouri since early afternoon. This will lead to slow rises of water and flooding along creeks and streams and low lying areas.
* Creeks, streams, and low water crossings will be especially susceptible to the dangers of flooding. Locations in the warning include... Joplin... Pittsburg... Carthage... Webb City... Prairie State Park... Nevada... Fort Scott... Carl Junction... Lamar... Baxter Springs... El Dorado Springs... Frontenac... Columbus... Galena... Girard... Oronogo... Seneca... Carterville... Duquesne... Arma... This warning includes but is not limited to the following low water crossings... North Main and Murphy Boulevard In Joplin... Route K at Dry Wood Creek east of Arcadia... Route JJ at Center Creek southeast of Carl Junction... Route CC at Lost Creek just south of Racine... and Highway 126 at The Spring River 3 miles north of Jasper. Additional rainfall amounts of up to an inch will be possible are possible across the warned area through this evening.
