Felony OWI 4th Offense 
On Sunday, January 12, 2020, at approximately 2:57 AM, a Middleton Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 7600 block of Elmwood Ave in the City of Middleton. The sole occupant was identified as Carla C. Scholz, 54 years old, of Middleton.
The officer noted a strong odor of intoxicants within the vehicle. Scholz admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages prior to operating her vehicle and was in possession of open intoxicants.
Scholz was put through field sobriety testing and subsequently arrested for 4th offense Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated (OWI), which is a felony. Scholz was transported to the Dane County Jail where she was booked on the tentative charge of 4th offense OWI and in addition was cited for possession of open intoxicants.
