DOG LICENSE INVOICES WERE MAILED OUT.  DOG LICENSES MUST BE RENEWED BY JANUARY 31.  $10.00 LATE FEE PER DOG APPLIES FEBRUARY 1 THEREAFTER.  FAILURE TO LICENSE YOUR DOG(S) WILL RESULT IN A SUMMONS BEING ISSUED.
 
COMMINGLED RECYCLING (Plastics #1, #2 and #5, glass bottles and tin and aluminum cans) will be picked up Wednesday, January 22.  RECYCLING MUST BE CURBSIDE BY 6:00 AM.
 
CARDBOARD/MIXED PAPER RECYCLING (cardboard, cereal boxes, gift boxes, wrapping paper, newspapers, magazines, books and junk mail) will be picked up on Wednesday, January 29MUST BE LOOSE IN CAN WITH LID.  RECYCLABLES IN PLASTIC BAGS WILL NOT BE PICKED UP.  RECYCLING MUST BE CURBSIDE BY 6:00 AM.
 
** Our new Solid Waste/Recycling Contract included MIXED PAPER as described above.
 
GARBAGE & RECYCLING – additional information is provided in the month of February in the 2020 Municipal Calendar which were mailed to every home and business in Waldwick.  A limited number of copies are available at Borough Hall and the Waldwick Public Library.  Information is also on our website, www.waldwicknj.org under Garbage & Recycling (left hand side of home page).
 
BAGGED LEAVES, BRUSH & BRANCHES may be brought to the Recycling Center, 19 Industrial Park during normal business hours (Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 3:00 pm and Saturdays 9:00 am - 1:00 pm) otherwise keep leaves, brush and branches on your property until the Grass-Brush/Branch collection begins in April 14, 2020.
 
WHITE GOODS PICKUP scheduled for Monday, February 3 – must call Clerk’s office at 201 652-5300 ext. 238 to make an appointment for pickup.  The office must receive your request by 2:00 pm on Friday, January 31.  Accepted white goods include: heavy metal items such as stoves, refrigerators, lawn mowers, washer/dryer machines, dishwashers, microwaves, hot water heaters, disassembled metal swing sets, iron railings, pipes, air conditioners, dehumidifiers and grills.  Items must be curbside by 6:00 am on day of pickup.

CRESCENT SCHOOL PRESENTSDisney’s PETER PAN JR. on Thursday, January 30 at 7:00 pm (doors open 6:30 pm).  Tickets are $10 adult and $5 students and available at CrescentPSO.com and at the door.
 
WALDWICK BAND CONCERT – will be held on February 1 at 2:30 pm at The Village School, 100 W. Prospect Street.  The concert is FREE and perfect for all ages and will include a variety of musical styles including light classics, Broadway and pop selections.  Additional information at www.waldwickband.org.
 
AMERICAN LEGION PANCAKE BREAKFAST is scheduled for February 2 from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm at Legion Hall.  The cost is $5 for pancakes, eggs, sausage, bacon, hash browns, toast and coffee/tea/ juice.   Proceeds/donations will go towards Adopt-a-Soldier (to help send care packages overseas).  All welcome.
 
SUPER BOWL PARTY FOR VETERANS - All veterans are invited to attend our Super Bowl Party on February 2 starting at 5:00 pm at Legion Hall with complimentary hoagies, chicken wings, and more.  Game starts at 6:30 pm.  All veterans who are honorably discharged after 1941 are now eligible to join the American Legion.  Also, their sons/grandsons can join the Sons of the American Legion, and their daughters/granddaughters/spouses can join the American Legion Auxiliary.
 
WALDWICK ADULT SERVICES CLINIC - Hosted by our Public Health Nurse, clinics are held the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm, Waldwick Health Center, 22 Whites Lane (behind Waldwick Ambulance Corps) Waldwick.  Free blood pressure screenings, health and nutrition information and more are available. Flu shots are also available during at the clinic.  No appointment necessary. Questions?
