Sheriff Richard J. Behnke, reports that on 01/19/2020 at approximately 0645 hours his office was called to investigate a personal injury accident on Pokagon Hwy near Baron Lake Rd, in Pokagon Township, Cass County Michigan.

Investigation shows that the 49 year old driver, Samantha Robertson from Niles, was traveling west bound on Pokagon Hwy. The vehicle lost control and left the roadway and struck the railroad tracks near the intersection of Pokagon Hwy and Barron Lake. Samantha had minor injuries and was transported by SMACAS to Lakeland Niles for her injuries.

Seatbelts were worn in the crash. Alcohol and drugs are not believed to be a factor in the traffic crash.
