Please join us in congratulating Hayward Police Department’s Lieutenant James Javier!
On January 9, 2020, Lieutenant Javier graduated from the exclusive Los Angeles Police Department Leadership Program (formerly Westpoint Leadership Program). This college accredited program is held at the LAPD police academy and it consists of 136 hours of rigorous course study.
Members of law enforcement agencies from all over California apply to attend this select program that teaches officers how to think more systematically about leadership, challenges and situations.
The course teaches behavioral science and leadership theories compiled from top universities in the nation.
Pursuing this program required a tremendous commitment by Lieutenant Javier. James’ dedication, outstanding accomplishment and his continuous efforts towards personal and professional development, will be an asset to the Hayward Police Department and the community we serve.
