The City of Red Bud Water Department would like to notify residents that we encountered an issue with the treatment process late Sunday, but the problem was quickly resolved. Due to this situation residents may notice a discoloration of the water caused by elevated manganese levels. Please note that there are no adverse health effects and that the water is safe to use. Please avoid washing white clothing in hot water until the discolored water has had a chance to get flushed out of the system which may take approximately 2 to 3 days.
