On January 20th a male subject came in to the West Terre Haute Police Department stating he had been shot. Through initial investigation, it was determined the incident had taken place in western Vigo County. After speaking to the victim, and witnesses, detectives were able to determine the incident took place on Woodland Drive in West Terre Haute. The victim had sustained a gunshot injury to leg, and was treated and released from a local hospital. Earlier today, detectives were able to apply for, and obtain an arrest and search warrant in reference to this incident. The Terre Haute Police Department special response team was called to assist in the execution of the warrant. John Cooper, 30 years of age, was arrested without incident and transported to the Vigo County Jail.
