Blanch Ave between Livingston & West St, will be closed from 1-27-20 to May 2020 (O&R Utility enhancements)
TRAFFIC ALERT:
Starting Monday, January 27th, Blanch Avenue between Livingston Street and West Street, Closter, will be closed to traffic until May 2020. O&R will be installing an underground transmission line, finalizing their multi-year project.
The closed portion of Blanch Ave. has no residential or commercial buildings on it. Because of the road closing, some local Closter neighborhoods and businesses, along West St. and Herbert Ave., for example, cannot be accessed from Norwood directly. They can be accessed from local Closter roads coming from the south.
To help manage this road closing:
• Detour signs will be posted.
• A truck route detour will be posted for Railroad Ave. access from Naugle St.
• Truck detour from Railroad Ave. will be as follows:
• Railroad Ave. to Naugle St.
• Naugle St. to Closter Dock Rd.
• Closter Dock Rd. to Harrington Ave.
• Harrington Ave. to Livingston St.
• No through truck access will be available on Van Sciver St. and West St.
