Recruiting Businesses
Mayor Jett, Director of Economic Development Martin and Economic Development Coordinator Wolf visited eight businesses outside of the City of McHenry in an effort to attract them to the City of McHenry if they entertain an expansion or potential relocation.

Training:
Sergeant Clesen graduated from Northwestern University’s 10-week School of Police Staff and Command. During the program, which was hosted by the Buffalo Grove Police Department, Sergeant Clesen received upper-level college instruction by top law enforcement executives on topics including leadership, human resources, employee relations, organizational behavior, applied statistics, planning and policy development, and budgeting and resource allocation.

The following certificates of occupancy have been issued:
1705 DUNDALK LN , New single family home in the Oaks at Irish Prairie Subdivision

WaterTower Marina
Building plans have been approved for interior improvements to the Watertower Marina, these plans include a full restaurant and bar with a 3000 sq/ft outdoor seating area.
Public Works
Projects—
- Pearl Street Illinois Transportation Enhancement Program Improvements – The contractor has provided temporary backfill adjacent to the sidewalk for safety reasons. Due to weather, that area will be fully restored in the Spring. All street lights have been installed. ComEd has made the final hook-up and the lights are now operational. The project is 99% complete with only some minor restoration to be completed.
- Curran Road S-curve Improvements – The last remaining item is the guardrail installation at the two curve locations. AT&T has completed their cable relocation/abandonment. Weather permitting, the contractor will be mobilizing to complete the guardrail installation in February or March.
Street Division—
- Crews responded to an ice and 4.5” snow event on Friday, January 17th, using over 200 tons of salt on the roadways.
- Crews responded to snow events on January 23rd and 24th.
Utility Division—
- On January 20th, personnel repaired a water main break at 3711 Anne Street. There was no disruption in service.

- Investigated 22 Motor Vehicle Accidents
- Conducted 193 Traffic Stops
- Conducted over 129 Business Checks and Foot Patrols
- Handled 8 calls for service involving Domestic Disputes
- Handled 1 call for service involving crisis intervention
- Arrested 9 individuals on State criminal charges
