Arrest: Domestic Violence Suspect Arrested
On January 25, 2020 at 1239 A.M. Emeryville Police Officers and the Alameda County Fire Department responded to 2 Anchor Dr. to investigate a report of a person who was bleeding from a laceration. A 34-year-old female victim was located who sustained serious injuries from several lacerations that occurred during a domestic violence incident.
The victim was attacked in the 3300 block of Powell St and ran to 2 Anchor Dr where she was able to get help from a resident. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Emeryville Police Officers searched the area where the crime was reported to have occurred and located a crime scene. While officers were investigating the crime scene they located and detained a possible suspect. The suspect, a 31-year-old male, was later arrested and booked on serious domestic violence charges.
This appears to be an isolated incident and there is no reason to believe the public’s safety is in jeopardy. The Emeryville Police Department and its staff are committed to increasing the safety of the City.
