On February 1, 2020, at 4:13 p.m. Gibson County Central Dispatch received a report of a disturbance in the 1000 block of South Main Street in Fort Branch. Upon arrival officers separated the parties and began an investigation into the incident. During the investigation Deputy Zach Lienemann placed 54-year-old Charles Heuring into custody and transported him to the Gibson County Jail. Upon arriving at the Gibson County Jail Mr. Heuring was charged with Battery. He has since posted a $750 bond.

Assisting Deputy Lienemann in his investigation was Haubstadt Officer Riley Farmer and Fort Branch Officer Jeff Beck.

All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
