The FD responded to a car fire on Durham Ct. Fuel & fire suppression foam reached Sturbridge lake, no hazard at this time. 
The FD responded to a car fire in Durham Ct. in the Sturbridge Section of town. Fire crews used foam to suppress the flammable liquid and extinguish the fire. Run off of the fuel and foam made it to a storm drain and subsequently the lake. County Hazmat and State DEP have determined there is no health or environmental hazard at this time. Residents may notice an odor and a sheen of foam on the lake. The management from Sturbridge Assn. will be working on any additional cleanup activities needed.
