The City Council of the City of Marshalltown, Iowa, will meet in the Council Chambers, 10 W State Street, 2nd floor, on the 17th day of February, 2020, at 12:00 o’clock p.m., at which time and place a public hearing will be held on the proposed property tax levy for Fiscal Year Ending June 30, 2021.

At the public hearing, any resident or taxpayer may present objections to, or arguments in favor of the proposed tax levy. After adoption of the proposed tax levy, the Council will publish notice and hold a hearing on the proposed city budget.

Doors for the meeting will open for the public at 11:30 AM. Please use the doors at 10 W State Street, as the remainder of City Hall is closed for President’s Day.

Please note that the total city tax rate will also include voted general fund levy, debt service levy, and capital improvement reserve levy, which is not considered in this public hearing.
