A resident reported trespassers on church property and two subjects were arrested for burglary

SUSPECT(S): Christine Lowe, 23-years-old, resident of Mira Loma
Michael Dehart, 26-years-old, Transient
VICTIM: Calimesa Community Church
SUMMARY:
On February 6, 2020, deputies responded to a call from a citizen who reported trespassers at the Calimesa Community Church. Deputies located Christine Lowe and Michael Dehart inside a locked room on the church property. A “letter of agency” was on file with the Yucaipa Police Department and both subjects were detained for trespassing. During the investigation, methamphetamine and prescription narcotics were found in their possession.
At the conclusion of the investigation, Lowe and Dehart were arrested for burglary and booked at Central Detention Center. Both are being held on $25,000 bail.
A "letter of agency" can be filed by property owners to allow the Police Department to act on your behalf in the enforcement of certain laws - such as a trespassing - and make arrests even when you are not present. If you would like to learn more, please contact the Yucaipa Police Department.
