The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Flood Advisory for... Talladega County in east central Alabama... Blount County in central Alabama... Calhoun County in east central Alabama... Etowah County in northeastern Alabama... St. Clair County in central Alabama...

* Until 745 PM CST.

* At 145 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. More significant flooding will be likely in some areas due to additional rainfall over the next 2 to 3 hours.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Gadsden, Anniston, Oxford, Talladega, Sylacauga, Pell City, Jacksonville, Leeds, Moody, Rainbow City, Oneonta, Attalla, Childersburg, Piedmont, Hokes Bluff, Springville, Odenville, Blountsville, Cleveland and Talladega Springs.

* AFFECTED AREAS: ETOWAH, AL ... BLOUNT, AL ... TALLADEGA, AL ... CALHOUN, AL ... ST. CLAIR, AL
