Winter Weather Advisory until 10:00AM Thursday

...SNOW TO CONTINUE ACROSS AREAS NORTH OF I-70 TONIGHT AND INTO THURSDAY MORNING... .Snow will continue to fall over central Illinois tonight. Along Interstate 70, that will be a mixture this evening of rain, freezing rain and sleet. Areas south of Interstate 70 will be rain mixed at times with sleet and some snow late tonight. Snow accumulations of 3 to 4 inches are expected with some 4 to 5 inches higher amounts in some areas. Much colder air will move into the area later tonight into Thursday with blowing and drifting snow possible especially in open rural areas continuing into the morning hours.

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 4 inches, locally higher amounts of 4 to 5 inches.

* WHERE...Central and east central Illinois.

* WHEN...Until 10 AM CST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions will likely impact the evening commute. Blowing and drifting snow on Thursday morning will cause hazardous driving and low visibilities in some areas.
