INCIDENT: Grand Theft
LOCATION: 12000 block of California St., Yucaipa
SUSPECT(S): Black Male, approximately 25 years of age, tall and thin build, wearing multi-colored pants
VICTIM(S): Hal's Liquor
SUMMARY: On February 11, at about 6:41 p.m., deputies from the Yucaipa Station responded to the report of a theft that had just occurred at Hal's Liquor on California Street in Yucaipa. Upon arrival, deputies were informed that the suspect entered Hal's Liquor, spoke briefly to the clerk and pointed at an item behind the counter. When the clerk's attention was diverted, the suspect pulled several Lottery Scratcher cases off the counter and ran. The loss is estimated at over $1,000.
The crime was captured on the store video surveillance camera. The video is being released and the public is asked to contact the Yucaipa Police Department if they recognize the suspect.
