Threat at Beattie Middle School was found to be not credible

SUMMARY:
On Thursday, February 20, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. Deputy T. Houn, responded to Beattie Middle School reference a male student who was overheard making a statement about shooting up the school. Due to the time of the report, school had been dismissed and deputies responded to the student’s residence. Deputies conducted interviews with the student and his family, and upon completion of the interviews and investigation, it was deemed there was no credible threat to the school.
School officials were notified that there was no credible threat to the students or staff.
