The Shorewood Police Department has identified and interviewed the driver in the incident from Atwater School that took place on Monday, February 24, 2020. We have been able to verify that the driver of the vehicle that was reported had a legitimate purpose to be in the area of the school on that date and was driving slowly through the area as he attempted to locate an address that was ultimately his intended destination. The driver was not enaging an any illegal or suspicious activity in this incident.

Based on our investigation of this incident, we believe there is no threat to student safety. We do encourage parents to remind their children to report anything they observe that they believe is suspicious in nature to a trusted adult.
