NC 9 is passable with caution however expect icy conditions in various areas. Shumont Rd is extremely slick and should be avoided. Other side roads are also icy especially on slopes and shaded areas. Motorists should avoid traveling unless absolutely needed. NC DOT has not treated roads in Broad River as of 9am.
