Deputies from the Apple Valley Station - Traffic Enforcement Division conducted a Traffic Enforcement Operation

INCIDENT: Apple Valley Traffic Enforcement Operation
LOCATION: Town of Apple Valley
SUMMARY:
On February 28, 2020, deputies from the Apple Valley Station, Traffic Enforcement Division, conducted a traffic enforcement operation in the Town of Apple Valley due to increased traffic concerns from the residents of the Town. During the operation, deputies wrote 56 citations. Of those 56 citations, 42 were for speed-related offenses. Other violations included expired registration, loud exhaust, no license plates, modified emissions, driving without a license, driving with a suspended license, and exhibition of speed (burnouts). One vehicle was towed for the driver having a suspended license and another vehicle was impounded for 30 days for the exhibition of speed.
Traffic-related complaints continue to be the top concern from residents of the Town. The Apple Valley Station would like to remind all motorists to drive safely and obey all traffic laws. Deputies will periodically conduct these traffic enforcement operations in the Town. The goal of these operations is to provide safer streets for all motorists in Apple Valley.
