TRAFFIC ALERT: Expect signficant delays on S Gammon Rd in Madison as reconstruction starts this week @MadisonTraffic

Drivers on the City of Madison's west side near Gammon Rd will experience significant delays as reconstruction of S Gammon Rd gets underway. Construction will officially begin March 4. Traffic delays may be less in the initial days but will increase as the project progresses further into March.
The project impacts S Gammon Rd from US Highway 12 and 14 (West Beltline Hwy) to Mineral Point Rd.
The project consists of new asphalt pavement, concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer, traffic signals, street lights on S Gammon Rd. A portion of the West Towne Path will be constructed from Grand Canyon Dr to S Gammon Rd, which will include an underpass of Gammon Rd just north of the Beltline. Initial work on the project will include utility locating, surveying and setup of temporary traffic signals. Two-way traffic will be maintained at all times.
