The Middleton Police Department received multiple tips from the public after releasing surveillance photos from the armed robbery that occurred at the Smoothie King, 2019 Deming Way, on February 27, 2020. Follow up investigation has led to the arrest of Christopher N. Montinguise, 29, of Cross Plains for one count of Armed Robbery.

Pursuant to the directive of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, as found in Supreme Court Rule 20:3.6, Trial Publicity, you are advised that a charge is merely an accusation and that the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

On Thursday, February 27, 2020, at approximately 5:55pm the Middleton Police Department responded to the report of an armed robbery that had just occurred at Smoothie King, 2019 Deming Way, in the City of Middleton.

Employees described the suspect as white male, approximately 5’10” tall, wearing a dark hooded coat, glasses, blue jeans, and a winter hat. He also had a blonde beard. A handgun was displayed during the robbery. There were no injuries reported and the suspect left the business on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
