Richard Roediger of Rancho Cucamonga was arrested for possession of a controlled substance

LOCATION: 7600 Block of Amethyst St
SUSPECT: Richard Roediger, 40-years-old of Rancho Cucamonga
BAIL AMOUNT: $130,000
SUMMARY:
On Saturday, March 7, 2020, at about 1:20 a.m., deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Station were dispatched to the area of Amethyst St. and Hemlock St. regarding a subject wearing all black who appeared to be trying to open car doors. Deputies conducted an area check but were unable to immediately locate the suspect. Upon further investigation, deputies located a subject who matched the description of the suspect in front of a residence on Amethyst St. Deputies identified the suspect as Richard Roediger who appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance. Deputies searched Roediger and found suspected methamphetamine in the back pocket of his pants. Further investigation revealed Roediger had three outstanding warrants for burglary, possession of narcotics, possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest. He was arrested and booked at the West Valley Detention Center where he remains in custody on $130,000 bail.
