Advisory

Power Outage and Road Closure

Overnight a tractor trailer collided with a utility pole on North Highland Avenue near Havel Street. The pole was compromised and wires are down across the roadway. As a result, North Highland Avenue is closed between Snowden Avenue and Croton Avenue.

Power has been deactivated to residents and businesses along the Route 9 corridor from North Malcolm Street to Croton Avenue. Some of the impacted homes are as far east as John Street. This outage is temporary and done to facilitate repairs so the roadway can be reopened.

We are working closely with the Ossining Union Free School District to coordinate transportation and arrivals at all of our schools but, in particular, Claremont School and AMD Middle School.

We kindly request that those travelling on Route 9 avoid the impacted area. Commuters should plan an alternate route and leave extra time to arrive at your destination.

We have no estimated time of restoration or projection for opening of the roadway at this time. Updates will be sent as information becomes available.
