In a few moments, Con Edison will begin running new power lines across Route 9 between Havel Street and North Malcolm Street in order to restore power to homes and businesses in the area. In order to do this we must close the roadway for an extended period of time. This closure will last approximately one hour but may last as long as two hours.

We are urging motorists to use alternate routes. Use Route 9A to go around the closure and avoid traffic. 

We are in constant contact with the Ossining Union Free School District to coordinate dismissal for students at Claremont School and AMD Middle School. Busses will leave on time, though there may be small delays to account for re-routed busses. We will also have officers in the area to coordinate safe routes for those students who walk home from school. 

Help us safely restore power for many of our neighbors by avoiding North Highland Avenue between Croton Avenue and Snowden Avenue for the next two hours.
