| Narrative: |
At about 12:24 PM on 03/11/2020, deputies from the Moorpark Police Department responded to a report of a deceased person in the open space area south of Avenida Colonia and Nogales Avenue. The responding deputies confirmed there was a 63-year-old deceased white male at the location.
Investigators from the Sheriff’s Major Crimes Unit and the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office responded to the scene to assist with the investigation. They concluded that there was no evidence at the scene to indicate a crime had been committed. Additionally, the railroad tracks and/or passing trains did not have anything to do with this death.
The deceased person was transported to the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office where an autopsy will be performed. The name of the deceased is not being released pending the notification of family members.
