Police Officer Trainees
Meet Police Officer Trainees Cesar Macias and Natanael Muerset
They are currently both attending the 167th Basic Course Police Academy Class at Alameda County Sherriff’s Office and are expected to graduate on May 18th.
Cesar Macias was born in Mexico City, Mexico. His family came to the United States when he was 5 years old. Cesar attended Tennyson High School, Chabot College and Cal State East Bay. Cesar is proud to have been hired by the Hayward Police Department since he is homegrown and still lives in Hayward. Cesar is bilingual in Spanish and English.
On February 12th, Cesar had his Naturalization Oath Ceremony. Cesar’s wife, Yolanda and Lieutenant Olsen were very proud of him.
Natanael Muerset was born in Thalwil, Zurich, Switzerland. His family came to they United Stated when he was 15 years old. He attended the Flight Training at Alporz Flight School in Hayward. Natanael grew up in Castro Valley and is excited to work for the Hayward Police Department. Natanael is multilingual in Swiss German, German, French and English.
On January 22nd, Natanael had his Naturalization Oath Ceremony. Lieutenant Olsen was honored to attend such an important ceremony.
