The apparent low bidder is Peter Baker & Son Company. Bids will be reviewed by staff and the Public Works Committee prior to final approval by City Council.  The project is expected to start early May.

Street Division—
  • Street Division crews poured over four yards of concrete for curbs and sidewalks due to utility repairs completed over the winter.
  • Crews have begun laying out and saw cutting for over 30 asphalt patches this summer. This work includes six large projects in downtown locations and other City facilities.
  • The contracted tree trimming program is now nearing completion.  Due to the high production of the contracted operation and continued in house trimming efforts, the total quantity of trees trimmed this year is nearly double the amount of any previous year on record.

Water Division—
  • On March 11th, the Water Division assisted with the location of the City water main in the Fox River near the Watertower Marina in order to facilitate the construction of remaining piers in partial conflict with the City main.  The locating effort was partially successful and will provide the owner with critical information needed to set possible pier locations while avoiding potential damage to the water main.
