On Thursday March 12, 2020 Harper Woods detectives located and arrested DEVAUGHNTA DUNLAP, a 27 year old Detroit resident, in the City of Detroit. Harper Woods detectives identified DUNLAP as being responsible for (3) separate porch pirate incidents in the City of Harper Woods. In February, DUNLAP is alleged to have stolen a package from a porch in the 20600 block of Damman. In March, DUNLAP is alleged to have stolen packages from porches in the 20700 block of Kenosha and the 20700 block of Washtenaw. DUNLAP was driving a silver 2001 Ford Crown Victoria with a Tennessee license plate during these thefts.
DUNLAP has been arraigned and formally charged in 32-A District Court with (3) counts of larceny. DUNLAP is scheduled back in 32-A District Court on April 01, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. for his pretrials.
Detectives were able to recover a return a majority of the stolen property. Detectives believe DUNLAP is responsible for additional porch pirate thefts in the area.
