COVID-19 Updates
To the Hermosa Beach Community:
To slow the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), we have significantly altered the City of Hermosa Beach’s operations. We have canceled and postponed major events, suspended senior center and community programs and, beginning Monday, we will start limiting public access to City offices including City Hall and the Community Center.
Mayor Mary Campbell has scheduled a special meeting of the City Council for 5 p.m. Monday to consider an emergency declaration and other measures to address the coronavirus outbreak, including the governor’s most recent recommendations. As you may know, Gov. Gavin Newsom on Sunday called for all bars, pubs, distilleries and wineries to close; for restaurants to reduce capacity to maintain social distancing among patrons; and for people age 65 and older to self-isolate because they face an increased risk of ill effects from the virus.
To help keep the community informed, we will be providing daily updates featuring the latest news about COVID-19; related local updates; and how the City is working to meet the needs of the community and protect public health. You can sign up to receive this daily update on our website here: https://www.hermosabeach.gov/coronavirus.
We appreciate your patience as we work through these changes, and we encourage you to sign up for updates and check back frequently on our website to stay informed.
