* WHAT...Heavy snow expected above 3000 feet. Snow levels will start at around 5000 feet this morning, before falling to about 3000 feet this evening. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches anticipated above 4500 feet. Total snow of 2 to 4 inches expected from 3000 to 4500 feet. The majority of this snow will fall this afternoon and this evening. Winds gusting as high as 70 mph on exposed ridgetops.
* WHERE...Tehachapi Area and Fort Tejon.
* WHEN...From 9 AM PDT this morning until 5 AM PDT Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Snow will accumulate above 3000 feet on Interstate 5 and Highway 58. Travel will become extremely difficult. Road closures and travel delays are likely. If you plan to travel, consider alternate strategies. Strong, gusty winds may bring down tree branches.
* AFFECTED AREAS: FORT TEJON ... TEHACHAPI AREA
