Use of 9-1-1
Please only call 9-1-1 in a true emergency. If you are worried about symptoms you’re experiencing and/or think you may need to be tested, do NOT call 9-1-1. Call your doctor, or the Ohio Department of Health hotline at: 1-833-427-5634 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, or the Union County Health Department at: 937-642-2053 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday.
9-1-1 cannot send a person to test you nor can the responders authorize a test.
When you do have to call 9-1-1 for an emergency, our dispatchers are trained to ask medical questions. However, if you have been told by a medical professional or have had contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, please tell the 9-1-1 dispatcher ASAP so our first responders can protect themselves upon arrival.
Thank you for being a part of our community. With your help, we can maintain safe and healthy operations to better serve you.
